Dwayne Hacker

Dwayne Hacker is a Law Enforcement Liaison for PennDOT Region 3. Dwayne has been with the Highway Safety Network since April 2023. He has 35 years of experience in Law Enforcement and Highway Safety.

Dwayne proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, earning an honorable discharge in February 1989. That same year, he launched his law enforcement career, joining the Lancaster City Police Department as a patrolman in June 1989. In 1990, he transitioned to the Tamaqua Police Department, where he served with distinction.

During his time in Tamaqua, Dwayne took on diverse roles, including DARE Officer and Bicycle Officer. He actively engaged with the community through initiatives like Bicycle Rodeos, Highway Safety School Presentations, and Seat Belt Safety campaigns, fostering stronger connections and promoting safety awareness.
 

As the Region 3 Law Enforcement Liaison, Dwayne serves as a vital resource for local police departments, fostering collaboration to enhance traffic safety. He actively promotes, supports, and advances traffic safety laws, programs, and education initiatives. With a steadfast commitment to reducing traffic crashes and fatalities, Dwayne works closely with safety partners to achieve their shared vision of safer roads.
