About
The Highway Safety Network (HSN) has partnered with Federal, State and Community organizations since 1987 to reduce highway related crashes, injuries, and deaths. The Highway Safety Network is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation dedicated to injury prevention and reduction in the number of traffic related crashes, injuries, and deaths. It is truly a unique organization that bridges the gap between public funding and community service. Through multiple partnerships, it has been possible to secure funding for needed projects and to effectively reach communities, groups and agencies that have the best opportunities to reduce and fulfill the organization’s mission.
The Network has consistently demonstrated its effectiveness in the administration and implementation of Highway Safety Grants/Contracts in communities, multi-county areas, state, and national projects. Currently, the HSN administers 10 Pennsylvania highway safety grants funded though the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Twenty-three (23) full-time professional and administrative staff positions are in place to service these projects throughout Pennsylvania.
